German Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media e.V.
BITKOM is the voice of the IT, telecommunications and new media industry in Germany and represents more than 1000 organisations. These include equipment manufacturers, software suppliers, IT service firms, telecommunications companies and content providers. BITKOM’s main priorities are administrative deregulation, the modernisation of training and education and the promotion of innovation-driven economic policies.

Competence Center for Applied Security Technology
CAST e.V. is Europe’s largest center of excellence for IT security and is backed by the prestigious Fraunhofer Institutes for Computer Graphics (IGD), Secure Information Technology (SIT) and the Darmstadt Center for IT Security (DZI). It is a neutral forum for almost 160 member organisations and as well as promoting innovative security solutions, it offers workshops, lectures and training on the latest IT security-relevant topics.

Association for electrical engineering electronics communication technology e.V.
With more than 34.000 members, including 1.250 companies, VDE is one of the big technical academic associations in Europe. Worldwide, the system is unique: VDE combines science, standardization and product testing consolidated. The fields of activity of VDE are transfer of technical knowledge, funding and early stage promotion of key technologies, electrical engineering, communication technology and its appliances. VDE gets involved with innovation climate, a modern engineering education and a high technical acceptability.

German Institut For Standardization e.V. (DIN)
DIN is developing norms and standardizations and offers this service economy, government and community. Since 1917 the non-profit association is based in Berlin and organized privately. The main responsibility of DIN is to develop consensus based norms, market-driven and targeted collectively with representatives of the interested groups. Therefore, about 26.000 experts bring in their expertise. Based on a contract with Federal Republic of Germany DIN is approved as national standardization organisation within European and international standardization organisations. Today, the standardisation is oriented European and international by almost 90 percent.

German Association of Consulting Engineers (VBI)
With around 3500 personal members in 3000 companies, the VBI is Germany’s leading professional and economic interest group for planners and consulting engineers. Its member organisations have approximately 40 000 employees. The VBI’s members are active in all areas of technical, scientific and techno-economic consulting as planners, advisors and analysts.
