Building Services

Electrical Engineering
Power supplies for modern administration buildings and Data Centers need to be carefully considered, for even a single hour of downtime can make costs skyrocket. That means that the additional investment for high-availability power technology soon makes itself worthwhile.

Depending on the requirements, SCHNABEL DC Consultants India Private Limited will design a redundant power supply even at medium voltage level. Guaranteed maximum availability is not the only result of the multiple configuration of components such as transformers, low voltage distribution units and sub panels. This also means that it is no problem to add to or carry out maintenance work on the system without having to close it down.

An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is essential if you want to protect sensitive data processing equipment from, say, peak surges or mains power failures. Almost total independence from power supply companies (PSUs) can be achieved by installing an emergency back-up power system. In case of municipal power failures, this will supply either specified loads or the entire building.

If the utility power supply fails, the UPS will ensure a continuous supply of power to the connected load until the backup generators kick in. This combination of coordinated components guarantees our clients an ultra-reliable power supply.

Another important feature of installations designed by SCHNABEL DC Consultants India Private Limited is their electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Right from the earliest stages, we ensure that all our designs are EMC compliant, so that adverse effects on computer systems in installations with high interference potential can be virtually ruled out.

Air-Conditioning and Cooling
The successful marketing and utilisation of modern administrative, commercial and industrial buildings is becoming increasingly dependent upon the quality of their technical infrastructure. To a great extent, this also includes flexible, demand-oriented climate control systems.

Guaranteeing a constant climate is of paramount importance when designing air-conditioning for computer systems, because a component failure in the cooling or air-conditioning supply chain means that equipment will rapidly overheat, causing a system failure.

To prevent such failures occurring, a coherent concept needs to be developed, planned and structurally implemented. Each single-point-of-failure must be eliminated. Switching the systems to a back-up power supply and providing continuous power for the control system are therefore essential features of our solutions.

Todays Climate Comfort has to be Modular
SCHNABEL DC Consultants India Private Limiteds designs are always based on modular and innovative solutions which ensure the flexible use of the property. For rooms where people work, we consider various technical solutions, depending on the individual requirements. These include a wide range of concepts such as conventional complete air-conditioning systems, partial systems in conjunction with air outlet vents or different types of chilled ceiling systems for providing comfort zones and component activation combined with renewable energies. In order that all our designs achieve their objectives within the agreed budget, we draw on the technical and commercial know-how of our experienced technicians and engineers who have long years of experience in facility design and construction.

The dimensions of some buildings make it difficult to monitor the building services systems by inspection alone. An appropriately dimensioned building management system provides the necessary transparency for a secure, cost-effective operation which can be monitored with a minimum of personnel resources. With the help of features such as the visualization of important system components, links with telecommunications or paging systems and the sending of automatic text messages to staff cell phones, system faults can be reported during, as well as outside, working hours, to maximum effect.
